Jose Scott is a Hispanic artist impacted by art at an early age. Jose, an Oklahoma City native, was influenced by the graffiti art culture in South OKC turning influence into practice and then a profession. Jose has mastered his artistry in graffiti art, enhancing Oklahoma City’s art scene through his creative eye and mural projects. This is Lee Lerner. He picked up running in 2019 urged on by a friend and a desire to drink milkshakes. He is about to complete his second marathon in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on April 24, 2022. This is a bit of his journey, both literally and figuratively, of becoming a runner and loving it. Mostly figuratively because literally it's just running down Classen Blvd and "loving" it!
Daisy Muñoz is a first-generation graduate from the Southside of Oklahoma City. She received her B.A. in English Writing and a Master’s degree in Regional and City Planning from the University of Oklahoma, with a focus on community and economic development. She organizes and connects small businesses to resources to strengthen their venture through her Capital Access Manager role at Progress OKC. Daisy is the Ward 6 Representative for the MAPS 4 Citizens Advisory Committee, where she oversees the implementation of 16 city-wide projects. In addition, she is an advocate for the revitalization of the commercial district Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill and the mobilization of La 29, SW 29th Street, to bring people-oriented economic opportunity to her community. Her goal is to strengthen the relationship between communities and planning agencies in Oklahoma City.
Francia Thompson is a Special Agent in the Investigative Division of the OSBI. She has been an agent since 2005 and has focused her career on crime scene investigations, where she has worked hundreds of violent crimes with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Thompson is currently assigned to the Cold Case Unit, where she uses her crime scene investigation skills to review and work cold cases. Thompson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Oklahoma. She is one of very few IAI (International Association for Identification) certified Crime Scene Investigators in Oklahoma. Thompson also assists other law enforcement agencies throughout the state with Spanish interviews and document translations. She teaches Crime Scene Investigation Techniques and Beginning Spanish for Law Enforcement courses to law enforcement agencies throughout the state. She has received numerous awards from the OSBI including red feathers, team awards, 2010 Agent of the Year, and the 2017 Medal of Service. Thompson is passionate about serving victims and being their voice. She brought the Cold Case Playing Cards Initiative to Oklahoma, a program that features unsolved homicide victims, missing persons, and unidentified bodies on playing cards distributed in Oklahoma prisons. Thompson was born in Mexico and her family immigrated to the United States when she was in grade school. Once she graduated high school, she wanted to serve her country and joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard, serving eight years. Her favorite quote is “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them”- Walt Disney. To Thompson, this quote embodies the spirit of hard work and perseverance, regardless of the challenges one faces.
Nhan Le is an actress based in Oklahoma City, OK. She first appeared on television in 2017 as Valentina Pasion on Murder Made Me Famous. She is known for her work on Breaking Them Up (2020), Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer (2018), and The Adventures of Jurassic Pet (2019). You can also see her on the TV Mini Series, Spoken Gospel and many national and local commercials. She is also the Extras Casting Assistant for some of the major feature films filming in Oklahoma, such as, Reagan, American Underdog and Killers of the Flower Moon. Julia Adame has been in the mortgage lending business for 17 years. She has been with both local and national companies. In May 2018 Julia opened her own branch that she manages. As a branch manager Julia has more control of the outcome of her loans. Julia is a nationally recognized lender and is in the top 250 Latino lenders in the nation. Julia also serves the community. Julia is the board secretary for the Latino agency and served as the founding president of the local NAHREP chapter in 2017 and 2018.
Ricardo Ulloa is California born and Oklahoma City raised. Ricardo is a lover of sports, tech and creating content. Ulloa is co-owner of the Futbol Factory, creator of the Mas Futbol Podcast, professional drone pilot and videographer.
