In this episode the conversation continues as we discuss "The Movement" for Mi'kmaw rights that began in the province following NL's confederation with Canada and the denial of the existence of Indigenous peoples in the new province. Elder White discusses what was named the "2002 Regime" as one of the original proposals for the foundation of the Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nation that never fully materialized when the First Nation was recognized almost a decade later.
