Sias Kruger recounts his visit to a mysterious holy site known as the Maw of the Earth to his employer, wishing to dissuade further probing into the region.

This is a simple story, very Weird Tales. A good change of pace after working on the last one for so long. Sias Kruger may be used again as a character- I enjoy the idea of a sort of underhanded nineteenth century relic hunter as a window to tell strange stories.
