Whiz briefs with Michael Sabato, a Marine working dog handler with 2 combat tours in Afghanistan, who enlisted right around 9/11. Michael was in the initial wave of combat troops leaving the military and the transition process back to civilian life was not smooth. He had to fight the VA at every step for help with his physical and mental traumas. By chance (or spiritual design) he found 2 beautiful souls names Amner and Anthony who run a healing retreat center called Awaken Your Soul. He eventually answered the call of the medicine and bravely stepped in. Listen as he describes his 2 live saving and changing journeys.

In this emotional episode Slider begins mapping out his integration, which started the day after doing the medicine - what the guys call the 'gray day' - and the guides call the 'discovery day'. Slider uncovers the root of his struggles with one of his sons, tracing it back to his father, and this revelation empowers Slider to break the generational trauma and reconnect with his son in an emotional (& humorous) homecoming. Whiz announces that AJ Buckley - his brother from another mother - star of Paramount's hit show SEAL Team has joined the No Fallen Heroes Foundation advisory board. In Bart’s second appearance he and Whiz debrief the critical integration process after stepping into the medicine. During his integration Bart predicts home runs and talks to bushes and is taking beginner Shaman course to put the ladder down to help others. Bart also talks about why having a supportive partner (his beautiful bride Kathy) is an important part of the integration process. Whiz and Bart also show their age by referencing Ultraman, while making the point that an annual medicine “tune up” is a good idea. In this emotional episode Whiz shares what he learned this week about
the death of his sister Monica. There are no coincidences, only 'God
winks', and Whiz thanks the medicine for his healing and being able to
sit with and move through this new revelation. Whiz calls out other
veterans and those who 'trauma grade' or 'trauma shame', pointing out
that trauma is trauma and one can't judge others' pain. Finally he
takes on an article from the Daily Mail titled: "Ayahuasca — the
psychedelic brew blamed for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' poor
performances — causes mental health problems that last MONTHS in
majority of users, landmark study finds".
