This week was amazing! Some truly incredible films were watched and loved.  The highlights include Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Samourai (1967), Danny Boyle's Sunshine (2007), and Alex Cox's Repo Man (1984).  I attmept to break down the minimalist elements of Melville's super cool French noir and place it in a broader spectrum of the French New Wave.  New segments take hold and I rant about craft beer...again.  Other films discussed: Fiend Without a Face (1958), First Man into Space (1959), Corridors of Blood (1959), Super Troopers 2 (2018), The Fog (1980), Deep Blue Sea (1999), Piranha (1978), Runaway (1984).

On this episode I discuss a book called "1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die" by Steven Jay Schneider and Ian Haydn Smith.  Since I did not watch a lot of worthy movies this week, I decided to open this book and talk about whatever movies pop up at random.  I learn about new movies and give stories and background on the movies that I know.  It was a pretty good time!

On this episode, I invite a group of craft-beer-drinking friends on the podcast in an attempt to pair beer with movies.  Each beer was hand selected from our beer cellars and cracked open with the skill.  Ramblings and tagents abound as we struggle to analyze, extrapolate, and pair each beer with a movie of our choice.  However, once Angus MacFadyen is brought up the show goes quickly off the rails.
