This week's episode of Max & Matt vs. Evil kicks off with Max giving a e dive into how smog check's- or emissions tests- are a scam, especially in California. Then Matt vents about a situation in Michigan where the power company DTE is basically holding customers hostage with the impending doom of a data center takeover.

After that the guys lightened things up by celebrating the Pistons beating the Orlando Magic in round 1 of the NBA Playoffs, only to be soured by the news of Detroit Tigers' ace Tarik Skubal going down with a season ending injury.

In honor of Cinco de Mayor, Max & Matt ended the show by sharing their Top 5 Favorite Mexican Foods. Finally, all the talk of Mexican food made Max go on a rant about how his favorite Mexican restaurant seems to mess with him intentionally trying to piss him off. Time Stamps:

We are growing, and o reflect that growth we also need a new name... Welcome to the first official episode of "Max & Matt vs. Evil" where Max Rosenhaus & Matt St. Jean will be pointing out hypocrisy and trying to take down evil doers of all sorts!

On this episode the guys discuss a second "Teen Takeover" taking place in downtown Detroit, just two days after Mayor Mary Sheffield gave a press conference with the "organizers" of the event where she vowed to work with them to bring it to an end. I guess we see what happens when you negotiate with teens!

During the discussion Max & Matt end up discussing times they were "detained" for extremely minor infractions.

From there the fellas share their thoughts on California Governor candidate Eric Swalwell dropping out of the race after several women came forward accusing the Congressman of sexual assault.
