Tyler and Jeph sit down to discuss the 2024 Team Safari competition. Tyler partnered with Nick Diaz, Max Ordinate team shooter. This is their second time competing as a team, last outing was 2021. The guys knew they would have to bring it and give all they got to pull out a WIN. 2021 the duo walked away 2nd place losing by 10 points. This years match was a battle all the way down to the final shot! The team again walked away with 2nd Place but heads held high as they know they delivered one of the greatest performances they could in a race for 1st place. To top it all off, the top 2 positions battling it out for Champion are great friends and congratulations to Dorgan and Collin on a stellar performance. They did exactly and we do mean exactly what they needed to take home the GOLD!

Oh the lessons learned. The heartbreak. The high expectations. Stupid mistakes. Mental errors. If you can make a mistake I made it. I did learn from it, 100% but that doesnt make the pain go away. Initially going in, I had planned to use this as a practice match to prepare me for the upcoming steel safari. But me being me, competitive and driven to win, not even one stage in already putting the pressure on to perform. Perfection at every turn. Thats the expectation. For myself. High standards and very hard to live up to. But heres my recap, i hope it helps you in someway learning from my mistakes and how i process.

Crawl Walk Run? Basic? Advanced? Professional? Amateur? When we think about training whether you're putting your own plan together, training someone, or attending a course, whats your philosophy? Grind the fundamentals until you bleed from your ears? or learn some tricks and determine what you can buy to improve your placement? So many answers. Is there a wrong answer or is this strictly an opinion open to interpretation?

This episode discusses the relationship between Speed, Precision, and Accuracy. There is no replacement for skill, practice, efficiency BUT.... there are techniques that can add speed while maintaining precision. And so we discuss RETICLE HOLDOVERS • MAX POINT BLANK • SPEED DROP. Simple techniques utilizing your reticle, and what you choose to dial on your optic can change the game completely! On a scale of 1 to 5, five being slowest, 1 being fastest and the same goes for the Precision aspect, we have rated each method with instructions on how to utilize each one! Is your need for speed so that youd sacrifice precision while maintaining accuracy? or maybe you want both with very little thinking? So SPEED DROP is your drug of choice? Hit us with your comments, let us know if you have any questions! Going forward 90% of our videos will be primarily PATREON!

Tyler in the absence of Jeph, hits a few daily news points... P. Diddy, the Moons Time Zone?... Load Testing article... then brings it with a discussion around an article from Vermillianchina.com where "Chris Zhang", a Chinese national who attended high school in the United States from 2014-2017 then going on a 3 year training journey, seeking out pistol, carbine, and hand to hand combat from some of the best instructors in the nation with the ultimate goal of returning to China to teach what he'd learned. Red Cell? How long was this plan in motion? Was he even a teenager when he attended our schools? Is this cause for concern? Comment below, let us know what you think!

Its been said do practice till you get it right, practice till you cant get it wrong! For this episode Tyler & Jeph discuss "What is the Muscle Relaxation fundamental?" Do you know the answer? Is it lack of all muscular tension or only muscles that effect your ability to maintain stability and pin point aiming? The duo then shifts into the importance of recoil management, the negative effects of recoil and why does the entire industry ignore these? Is it lack of knowledge? Refuse to dig deeper and be a student of the game? We may never know. But were sharing with you and thats whats important. Another tool for the tool box.

Through failure, we learn! Tyler talks about a particular student at PR1 having a rough time in the wind on Day 3. Success in the moment may make you happy, but the failures are what make us grow, and nothing was different for this shooter! Sometimes, lessons like these are needed.
