If you are "right to the point" but your team needs you to take time to explain, there is a disconnect.  

If a team member needs to make sure you understand why everything is done a certain way, if you don't listen, their performance suffers. Too often this is taken for granted or blown off as not important. But if you could understand how to communicate more effectively, how much better will everyone feel. Tactical, insightful.
