Maximum Hearts

CrossCode has finally left PC and landed on consoles, which makes this the perfect time for John and Finn to revisit this retro-inspired action RPG.

We're joined this week by Kate Sanchez aka OhMyMithrandir, Editor-in-Chief at ButWhyTho, to talk about Latinx representation in Far Cry 6 and new expectations for how available next-gen consoles will be.

Professional actor John Eric Bentley, most recently known as the voice of Barret Wallace in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, joins us to talk about his career and how to stay well during the pandemic.

John, Justin, Finn and Jeff dive deep into Naughty Dog's sequel to one of the most acclaimed games of all time.

*Note* Zachary Ryan (IGN) joined the crew for this discussion but due to a technical issue his audio was lost and unrecoverable. This episode has been edited slightly to account for this.

The entire crew is here for one last hurrah as we say goodbye to three of our friends. It's no news and all fun as the 8 of us dink around and just enjoy our time together.

Follow Reb, Zach, and Matty in their future endeavors!

While there's certainly some actual gaming news to discuss, the most important thing at the moment is the plethora of victims and survivors who have come forward with their stories about predators in the gaming industry and media. Believe their stories. That's all there is to it.

Games are finally being revealed again, which means the crew finally has topics to discuss. But we also have announcements of our own! It's a big episode folks.

It's an extra-long episode for a big reveal blowout from Playstation. Also we may or may not have gone so long without news that we forgot how to pace a podcast. Woopsie-doodles.

This show was recorded just as the current Black Lives Matters protests were beginning to break out, two and a half weeks ago as of time of upload. We've personally made donations and took a content hiatus to instead promote black streamers and content creators. Now that this podcast is finally going up, protests are still ongoing, and Breonna Taylor's killers still haven't been arrested. This is a gaming podcast, right? Yeah, but did you know Breonna Taylor's killers still haven't been arrested? Little known fact.

Do you want context or do you want to watch the episode? That's what I thought.
