The latest Hey You Guys Podcast is here, and this week, Liam and Rob look back at what is objectively one of the worst Stephen King adaptations, 1986's, Maximum Overdrive. Stephen King's one and only step into the director's chair is, by his own admission, something of a cocaine-fuelled disaster....and it shows. Make no mistake, Maximum Overdrive is not a good movie. Is it a fun one though? Well, that's up for debate. Filled to the brim with schlocky action, memorably bonkers line deliveries and plenty of unintentional comedy, despite its understandable critical savaging, there is a reason this movie has lived on as something of a cult classic.
