May is Mental Health Month - Are you caring for yours?

It is mental health awareness month and I can not let the month go by without taking time to acknowledge and stress the importance of taking care of your mental health as much if not more than you take care of your physical health.

And then someone asked me if their trauma was nearly as important as my trauma.  ABSOLUTELY.

Eventually, trauma will find its way out. You can find it in a marriage, motherhood, sisterhood, or friendships but it will appear. 

Look back at your life and see if there is some kind of event or time that has created a blockage for you?  Don't devalue it and say it was nothing.  We all have defining moments in our lives.

We need to validate the moments that have impacted our lives we can not ignore or invalidate them.

Start by spending some time with yourself and be honest about the story of your life and how it has impacted you.
