Maybe Nets Time

We look back at our fondest Nets memories from the last decade, then turn to what the future may have in store.

This is the trade episode. We propose trades, you wonder to yourself, “My god, how did they come up with that?!” And then we explain how. It’s quite something.

Topics addressed include but are not limited to: KD’s profile in Forbes; Kyrie’s injury; RPMs of most Nets (and how bad DeAndre Jordan’s is); and, of course, Shumpert getting the boot.

Why, dearest listener, does Kenny insist on playing Pinson (and Musa) ahead of David Nwaba? Also, we react to the Kyrie vs. Boston beef, the recent string of Nets Ws, and a whole lot more.

We interview WFAN legend Steve Lichtenstein. He patiently responds to our battery of questions and, in the process, manages to create essential listening for anyone even casually interested in the Brooklyn Nets. And then Simon and William talk about some things, mostly the Nets, but also impeachment and Bud Lite Lime.

New in Nets Nation: Caris is (unsurprisingly) injured, Kyrie is mysteriously out, DeAndre Jordan continues to be a net negative (4 more years, 4 more years), the CEO has absconded after less than two months, and Schumpert is coming to town. Also discussed: how the Nets might learn to one day avoid blowing massive leads.

We begin with the “real” awards - MVP, MIP, 6th Man, etc - then move onto the “fun” awards - The Jeremy Lin Award (most likely to disappoint), The Quincy Acy Award (most likely to wash from the NBA), etc. It’s one hell of a good time. After taking a brief jaunt to KD’s Korner, we go deep on which Nets players we’d want to draft in our fantasy league.

We talk about things like KD, Kyrie, preseason, etc etc etc, then delve deep into all things Hong Kong.

We get into the following things: KD’s Korner; Nets News; Press Conference Fallout; and then, after all that, we blow the whistle on unspeakable Nets sins.
