Back due to popular demand (one person asked for it), we have decided to reupload this episode from the vault. Some say it was taken down because of a Midwest Radio copyright claim, others say it was removed by an irate James Horan. Perhaps it was because we originally had an Enya song at the start and it's common knowledge that Enya is a Donegal inbred who absolutely hates Mayo. Either way, here it is, back from the dead for you to enjoy. It's a large contrast from the mood in Mayo right now but it's important to remember the humble roots from which we sprouted these mighty Mayo oak trees.

Season 5 is live! It is however on a very sad and solemn note that we begin this year's proceedings. Rocked to oar core by four consecutive retirements the likes of which we have never seen before. Hosts TJ and Fat Larry are almost lost for words. Fat Larry's poetic eulogy goes some way towards providing comfort and solace to the disheartened Mayo fans. We attempt to suggest some things to be positive about and we look to the future whilst also viewing the past from within. This podcast is made possible by the Cairde MAYOAREBACK. Wow, what an absolutely fabulous and special equation. It's all arnold filan week and MAYOAREBACK have arrived in tip top shape. They have recruited Owen Colgan in to the studio to provide a little bit of depth and indeed girth. They leave no stone unturned in their quest for Mayo knowledge and they provide insightful, comprehensive and robust analysis of the men's senior Gaelic football championship fixture which is set for this Sunday in Croke park and it has been confirmed as a final against Kerry. Thank you Owen for joining TJ and Fat Larry as they discuss, dissect and bisect all the major talking points including kickups, matchouts, set pieces and deliveries. It's fair to say that all three men were unanimous in their assertions that Mayo will indeed end their 75 year wait and bring Sammy Guire home. Up Mayo!

The second file released from the MAB vault sends us back to 2021. It was the eve before the all arnold and this podcast took on a very unique format when TJ and Fat Larry hosted an evening of conversation and fun. Spirits were as high as our expectations. As a podcasting juggernaut I feel like we have learnt from our mistakes and grown and matured a lot over the past 5 years, as is reflected in our recent podcasts.

This is the first of the MAYOAREBACK files to be released from vault for all arnold filan week. Today we cast our minds eye back to when Mayo last defeated Kerry in championship football. The year was 2023, Kevin McStay was at the helm and TJ and Fat Larry were just as unwell as they are today. I believe that this episode is worth listening to this week because it shows us that not only can we beat Kerry, but we have done in recent memory. Up Mayo.
