Mazz Murray is currently playing Mama Morton in Chicago in the West End.

She started out in shows including Fame, Pippin, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Boogie Nights and Rent.

In 2002 Mazz joined the original cast of We Will Rock You as the Teacher. She understudied the role of Killer Queen (originally played by Sharon D. Clarke), a part she went on to play for eight years at the Dominion Theatre.

After leaving the show in August 2011, Mazz joined the cast of Mamma Mia! in the West End. She was also part of the sequel to the film adaptation of the show, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018).

Mazz released her debut solo album Midnight Mazz earlier this year. You can listen to it on Spotify or find it on iTunes or Amazon. She is also part of Woman, the band, who have toured with Earth, Wind and Fire and Billy Ocean.
