The MCAS, Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, is a statewide standards-based assessment program that evaluates public school students. The state requires high school students to pass the 10th grade MCAS exam to graduate. MA Ballot Question 2 proposes we get rid of the MCAS passing score requirement to graduate. Would you vote Yes or No on MA Ballot Question 2? Deb McCarthy of the Vote Yes on 2 campaign joined us to discuss. The MA Dept. of Education did not respond to our request to join.
