This podcast will dissect the first vision point for our Church. We are called to Love God. So, Love God is awonderfully simplistic statement. But it begs the question; what does it mean?

What does it mean to love God? Does it mean to love God romantically? Does it mean to love God like we love a parent? Does it mean to love God like we love our dogs ? What does it mean to love God?

In this series we will remind ourselves of the vision and mission of our church. Why do we love God? Why do we serve people? Why do we live out our faith? All these questions and more will be answered in "Core Values".

The Christmas season is supposed to be a time of joy and connection. Images of family gatherings, laughter and celebration. But for many, the holidays intensify feelings of loneliness, making it difficult to find peaceand warmth amid the Christmas. This week we tackleanother major Christmas issue…Christmas loneliness.

Even though we usually think of Christmas as a time for peace, fun, and presents, the holiday season can actually be pretty stressful for a lot of people. You and I might love Christmas but for some people Christmas stinks. So, lets learn who to make Christmas more by letting people see Jesus in you!

This week Abraham teaches us another crucial lesson,and it is about generosity. For a man who is biblically defined as a wealthy herdsman, he was surprisingly generous. Whether it was Lot or King Abimelech, Abraham seemedto always choose generosity over selfishness. We believe he understood God’s philosophy on finances. What God gives to you is meant to flow through you.

This week Abraham is going to stretch our faith. Abraham is a man of boundless faith, but he like you and I, need our faith stretched at times. And God is about to stretch Abraham’s faith in a way that he could have never imagined.  And the narrative should teach us what it taught Abraham. Following Godsometimes means giving up to go further.

This week Abraham is going to actually give us a warning.Abraham is a man of great faith, but he, like us, gets impatient at times.  He likes to rush things. And God is about to show Abraham that, if you rush God’s promise, you may miss God’s promise.

So in our narrative Lot has left in Genesis Chapter 13 and again Abraham and his clan are left on their own.  But they are not alone. Because Abraham is walking with the one true God.  And that God is about to show him another step toward receiving God’s best for Abraham’s life. God is about to show Abraham that, To get God’s best, we must listen and obey God’s voice.
