A new week is here and that means another fresh episode of the Real Life Podcast is all set and ready to ease you back into your workweek. This week, the guys covered last night's win over the Senators, the upcoming schedule, and welcomed former Oiler Kyle Brodziak to talk a little bit about hockey and life.
To kick things off, the guys jumped in with a look at the big weekend the Oilers had after they collected four total points in their wins over Toronto and Ottawa. Even though those two games weren't perfect by any stretch, the important thing is that the Oilers collected a pair of wins that they desperately needed and put some points in the bank. Changing gears, the guys were thrilled to welcome former Oiler, Kyle Brodziak to talk about his involvement in the World's Longest Hockey Game and how he's looking forward to competing in the event for a very good cause. If interested, you can donate to Brodziak here. From there, we dove into Brodziak's career, specifically his come up and what it was like to legitimately know that he had a chance to make the NHL. Turning back to the Oilers, the guys asked Brodziak to give his thoughts on the team through 11 games and what he thinks needs to improve. They also asked about his time in Edmonton and what it was like to be able to play with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, both of whom are tearing through the league right now. Lastly, the guys wrapped up the Monday edition of Real Life with a look around the NHL, the world of sports, and anything else that came to mind.
