Welcome to the Art of Life podcast again: this time I'm coming from the mountainside of the Isle of Arran, and musing over the long, slow journey here - back to my roots and place which 'formed' me, with a new perspective, energy and trajectory. What it is to revisit where we 'grew up' from a living state of sovereign being - and still to be hit with the reverberations of old family patterns and the correcting of the constellation (in which we are always intimately woven - until we disentangle ourselves!)

Dearest Friends - a slightly different stream-of-consciousness than usual: this is a podcast around sewing and around my shift from painting to needlework - and about bringing the meaning, purpose and magic back into our clothing.

Dearest Lovers Of Natural Ways,

This podcast is part two of a sharing I already posted here on Hive, around the cutting of a willow tree very near my house, which I was called to harvest for my winter wood and potential basketry.

But the story is much more about our symbiotic and mystical relationship with all things around us, and how we have to act Rightly in tune with our collective flourishing.

This is very different to walking the path within the system, referencing paperwork and the concept of 'property' and restrictions on our free movement. Living in Gift follows the default path of abundance of all things, for our needs, appropriate to our specific location and current living-and-growing skills. The further we step into Gift, the easier it becomes to harvest this abundance.

This podcast speaks to the multi-levelled experience of what might outwardly be the cutting of a fallen tree, but in fact is a powerful and transformative and informative and invigorating learning workshop-in-Nature... Plus I now have tons of firewood!

This deep-dive is into the life-long work of bringing our Motivation back into our whole: embodying the natural vitality, intelligence and intention that is inalienable from our physical stamina and our capacity to keep at something until it is finished.

For myself, motivation is something that was very specifically pulled out of me when I lived and worked in the metropolis; I got so charged up by the grind of striving with full effort just to get by, just to pay rent, just to buy the most simple food, just to get on a train to get to work... I lost my sense of purpose temporarily, because I was immersed in a reality in which folks just spent their life force striving, and that was 'life'. I left in the dark, one glorious night, driving out of that city-so-huge-you-can't-see-the-end-of-it, and spent some years re-integrating my motivation. Phew!

Dear Friend!

Here is another free-flowing deep-dive, this time into the reality of having a small-but-perfectly-formed audience, having been through recent years' upheavals.

Most of us who have found our way to the decentralised world, have done so because of feeling unwelcome or uncomfortable in some way in the mainstream- and most of us have gone through some process or other of isolation and of having to start anew.

Here I'm speaking to how we can navigate out of the 'hungry ghost' mentality that consumerism has conditioned so thoroughly into us - our unconscious programming to be seeking always more fame and bigger audiences - how we can truly appreciate what it is to simply plant the seeds we are here to plant, in terrain in which we find ourselves- and let them Be. Great Spirit and the Intelligent Universe will decide when and where which seeds should flourish; we should just be getting on with the good work of fully realising our creativity.
