MCW Wired

For the first time in the short tenure of MCW Wired we were able to have a sit down face to face interview with our guests and for our first in person interview we couldn't decide between "The Business" Slex and MCW World Champion Adam Brooks - so we got them both!

They were good enough to join us at the Academy to talk about the past year, and our return to the Thornbury Theatre on February 6th for MCW Homecoming... at least that's what we hoped to do for this episode at least.

With MCW Homecoming on the horizon, nobody on the roster is more ready to step back into the ring than Tome and Stevie Filip and in this edition of MCW Wired they joined us to talk about how they've used the pandemic and time away from wrestling to better themselves for their return to the ring. While they might have only wrestled once in 2020, the Natural Classics are hungrier than ever to put the locker room on notice for 2021 and show why they are not just the best tag team, but the best wrestlers in the country!

Despite only having a career that's two years old Royce Chambers has a list of highlights that can take others up to a decade to accomplish, and after a breakout year in 2019 it looked like 2020 was to be the year the Airbender reached new heights. With an Intercommonwealth Championship opportunity and a tour of Japan in the early stages of this year, Royce Chambers joined us on MCW Wired to let us know that the pause on this year has only made him hungrier than ever before to get back into the ring!

Ever since her debut in Melbourne City Wrestling, Kellyanne has been a staple of the ever growing and talented women's division and with her debut in Ring Of Honor imminent she joined us on this edition of MCW Wired.

From her classic feud with Evie that launched women's wrestling into the main event scene to how she got her start at a young age Kellyanne pulls no punches and tells it how it is and even answers your questions as well.

From his early beginnings in backyards to his acclaimed rivalry with international wrestler DCT last year, the story of Ritchie Taylor is a fascinating one that begun when he was only 13 years old - he joined us on MCW Wired in a nothing off limits look back at his career, his rise through the ranks of Melbourne City Wrestling, his championship aspirations... or lack thereof, and his life as a vegan pro wrestler!

After speaking to MCW Tag Team Champions Mitch Waterman and Nick Bury in the last episode of MCW Wired it was a no brainer that we had to chat to the final piece of the Brat Pack puzzle - MCW Women's Champion Avary. She tells us how the trio came about in her point of view, the lengths she had to go to when she began training to wrestle, travelling to Japan to wrestle in STARD✪M, and we find out how she was able to train a pet magpie!

MCW Tag Team Champions Nick Bury and Mitch Waterman join us on this edition of MCW Wired!

We start all the way from the beginning from the story of they became a tag team, to the chaos they would cause in regional towns across Australia, and how they and Avary have taken The Brat Pack to the top of their respective divisions - plus we answer your questions including the often asked "what would you guys do if you split up" question all tag teams get asked.

We caught up with MCW Heavyweight Champion Adam Brooks in one of the loosest episodes in the short history of MCW Wired!

The 'Greatest Ledge Of All Time' opens up on the impact of his friendship with former MCW Champion and current WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy had on his career, the endless amounts of kilometres he would drive across Australia to wrestle, travelling around the world including appearances in Ring Of Honor and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla - and Brooksy gives us his thoughts on his matches with Will Osprey.

MCW Wired is back with a true icon of Melbourne City Wrestling, The Business Slex!

A former Tag Team, Intercommonwealth and World Heavyweight Champion, Slex has done it all and as he prepares to take on the world in ROH we reflect on his time in MCW discussing his favourite matches, moments, opponents and more!

As voted by you in our Melbourne City Wrestling Fans Community, by overwhelming demand Loverboy Lochy Hendricks is the very first guest on MCW WIRED!

We speak to Lochy about his decision to remain in MCW, his complicated and twisted history with KrackerJak, helping out the next generation of wrestlers at the MCW Academy, and he answers your questions as well.
