  • Hive Open Mic Week 292: A Cover of "Believe For It " by Cece Winans
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=medemausi/rzbgpglg
Foremost, I want to thank every member of this community for their encouragement on my previous video. Your support really inspires me to do more and better. Following up on my previous announcement, for this week, I'll be sharing a song titled "**Believe For It**" by Cece Winans, as part of the "Moving Mountains" theme.
    https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/medemausi/23x1DBPaY2bQL9Hty5t4zquwrvGx8AU9k49qmhmvutq18QpUhEP2kqSdFmdZgQLfWur7r.jpg
To me, mountains represent solidity and stagnation. But when a mountain moves, it signifies a powerful force beyond the natural. Mountains can symbolize difficulties, health challenges, or any phase of life that feels overwhelming. For these mountains to move, we need a supernatural intervention – God's power.
That's why "Believe For It" resonates with me. The song preaches about trusting in God, believing that He can turn the impossible into possible, and moving the unmovable. We're relying on the God of the universe to take control and believing that whatever He's got in His hands, He's capable of moving mountains.
    #### LYRICS
    > They say this mountain can't be moved
They say these chains will never break
But they don't know You like we do
There is power in Your name
    > Move the immovable
    Break the unbreakable
    God, we believe
    God, we believe for it
    > From the impossible
    We'll see a miracle
    God, we believe
    God, we believe for it
    > Move the immovable
    Break the unbreakable
    God, we believe
    God, we believe for it

This week, I’ll be performing a song titled '*You Are the Reason*' by Calum Scott, which graced the airwaves in 2018. This song holds a special place in my heart, as its profound themes of longing and devotion resonate deeply with anyone who has cherished past relationships. It envelops the bittersweet nature of love that spans across distances, differences, and the imperfections that we all carry.
The lyrics convey a powerful message about the heart’s desire to overcome barriers and seek forgiveness for any mistakes made along the way. As we find ourselves stepping into this festive season—a period of love, reunion, and moments of reconciliation—I sincerely hope that this song touches your hearts in the same way it touched mine.
    #### ESPANOL
    #### LYRICS
    There goes my heart beating
    'Cause you are the reason
    I'm losing my sleep
    Please come back now
And there goes my mind racing
    And you are the reason
    That I'm still breathing
    I'm hopeless now
    I'd climb every mountain
    And swim every ocean
    Just to be with you
    And fix what I've broken
Oh, 'cause I need you to see
    That you are the reason

Hive Open Mic Week 291: A Cover of Jealous by Labrinth
Hello everyone! I’m happy to be back for this week’s contest. With the theme of "*Autumn Harmonization*", I’ve chosen to perform 'Jealous' by Labrinth, a soulful piece released in 2014. This song really resonates with me deeply, because it beautifully conveys a blend of warmth and emotional depth, even while reflecting its darker themes. The lyrics touch on the complexities of love and loss, particularly the bittersweet ones, the pain of watching someone you care about walk out of one's life. As the leaves change color to yellow and the air grows crisp, I feel this song perfectly captures the feeling of longing that often follows the change of seasons. I can’t wait to share my rendition with all of you and hope it strikes a chord!

    #### LYRICS
    I'm jealous of the rain
    That falls upon your skin
It's closer than my hands have been
    I'm jealous of the rain
    I'm jealous of the wind
    That ripples through your clothes
    It's closer than your shadow
Oh, I'm jealous of the wind
'Cause I wished you the best of all this world could give
And I told you when you left me
    There's nothing to forgive
But I always thought you'd come back
Tell me all you found was heartbreak and misery
It's hard for me to say
    I'm jealous of the way
    You're happy without me

Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to be back and share another powerful and energetic song with you all again. For this week’s entry, I’ve chosen to do a cover of a song titled **Gbognonise**. This Yoruba term translates to '*The God that can do all things* '. The song was originally sung by a talented Nigerian singer named PELUMI DEBORAH.

The lyrics are uplifting, and I find myself humming them throughout the day. One line that particularly strikes a chord within me is, 'You are an immortal God with eyes that can see and ears that can hear.' It beautifully encapsulates the belief that no matter how insurmountable our struggles may seem, they are never beyond the reach of divine intervention.
It also conveys a reminder that boosts my faith that God is always aware of the challenges we face and possesses the ability to help us navigate through them. I truly hope this cover resonates with you as deeply as it does with me and brings you a sense of hope and encouragement. Enjoy!

  • Hive Open Mic Week 290: A Cover of 'Before the Throne'.
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=medemausi/mrofgugr
Hi everyone on Hive Open Mic! I'm excited to share my performance with you all this week, as we explore the theme of 'Glory.' I will be singing a cover of the song 'Before the Throne,' which was originally performed by the Shekinah Glory Ministry in the year 2007.
This song resonates deeply with me because it captures the essence of God's presence, reminding us that the glory of God is more powerful than anything else we can imagine. It's a reflection of how God's presence can illuminate our lives, bringing an abundance of glory, beauty, and honor into our hearts.
As I sing, I hope your spirit gets uplifted and connects with the song. For me, there's no greater glory than experiencing the magnificent glory, glamor, and grandeur of the presence of God.
    #### The Lyrics
Before The Throne is where we come
To offer praise and seek wisdom
You have torn the veil that separates
No more outside, now in Your grace
    before The Throne
(Is where we come) is where we come
(To offer praise) to offer praise
    (And seek wisdom) seek wisdom
(You have torn the veil) You have torn the veil
    (That separates) that separates
(No more outside) no more outside
(Now in Your grace) so we bow
    as we enter
(As we enter) The Throne Room
(The Throne Room) and we cast
    (And we cast) ourselves down
    (Ourselves down) at Your feet
(At Your feet) we cry, "Holy!"

For this week's entry, I chose to sing the songs of one of the most talented gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo - A song of hers, that was officially released in year 2018 titled, "***Excess love***". The song portrayed the love of God, His kindness irrespective of our shortcomings,His graciousness in spite of graceless lifestyle and His mercies that endureth forever for as long as we are ready and willingly to accept His love towards us and become true children of God.
For the past few months, I don't know how have been surviving but somehow, someway,God has been showing up for me in ways I can't explain neither can I pin my hands on. His love has been nothing but excess therefore, this is me singing this song to show how grateful this little girl that He has chosen to bless is and will forever be.
    ### Lyrics
    Your love is kind
    Your love is patient
    You fill my heart
With so much peace and joy

    You’re amazing
You make my life feel brand new

  • Afritunes Week 135 - A cover song of "Onise iyanu" by Nathaniel Bassey.
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=medemausi/ftcgvpio
    Have you seen the moon?
    have you seen the sun?
    have you seen the stars?
    have you seen the rain?
They are all screaming of God's wonders.
All of the goodness of God make me wonder and never did I pray that, a day would come when I lose His wonder. Even in the deepest darkest days of my life, He has never ceased to show me His wonders. I believe in God and I have seen His wonders that is why I chose to sing this sing for this week entry.
    #### Lyrics
    Onise Iyanu
You're the God of awesome wonders
    I've tasted of Your power
    Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
    Much more than I deserve
My eyes have seen, my ears have heard
    The wonders of Your praise
Creation bows in awe of You
And we join to give You praise
The words You speak, turns things around
    Your outstretched arm
    Has lifted me
You took away the chains and curse
    That held me bound
    Onise Iyanu
You're the God of awesome wonders
I've tasted of Your power (Oh, Onise o)
    Onise Iyanu
You have shown me so much mercy
    Much more than I deserve

  • Afritunes Week 133- A cover song of, God turn it around by Jon Reddick.
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=medemausi/vclfrmtm
Hi lovers of music! I know its awfully been a long while here but never mind me, in no time you'll start seeing more of me, it's a promise from me to you.
So,why the song titled ***Turn it around**?Well, the first time I heard this song, it didn't took me much time before I memorized each parts of the lyrics. I really didn't found that surprising because, the song actually preached to my present situation at that time and this, left me to put it on repeat until I had fully absorbed all and saw it fulfilment.
    God still turns things around,
He's still in the business of turning lives around for good,
In His time,He will make it happen.
    Keep trusting on Him.
    ### Lyrics: God, Turn It Around by Jon Reddick
    I’m praying God come
    And turn this thing around
    God, turn it around
    God, turn it around
    God, turn it around
    I’m calling on the name
    that changes everything
    God, turn it around
    God, turn it around
    God, turn it around
    All of my hope
    Is in the name
    The name of Jesus
    Breakthrough will come
    Come in the name
    The name of Jesus
    God, turn it around
    God,turn it around
    God, turn it around
    He is up to something
    God is doing something
    right now
    He is healing someone
    He is saving someone
    God is doing something
    right now
    He is moving mountains
    Making a way for someone
    God is doing something
    right now
    God is doing something

  • Afritunes Week 126 ;A Cover Of "More Of You" By Sinach
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=medemausi/fheaqhih
Hi lovers of music, it''s another week to express one's inner thoughts and deepest feelings through **Afro Tunes**. For this week, I'm doing a cover of a song titled "**More of You**" by a Nigerian gospel singer by the name, Sinach. My life isn't as beautiful as I wanted or desired it to be by now however, there are quite a lot of things that I'm grateful for- A soul who lives in gratitude, have his or her life surrounded with the beauties of life. I don't want to my life brooding over what I do not have or what I'm yet to attained, I'm likely to miss out of life if I do that. I wanna sit at this shore, counting all of my blessings and even the cost of each blessings, loving the keeper of my soul and those who are my peace and yearning to please Him more in my endeavours. This is the deal for me, a **big deal** at that and that was why I chose to sing this song.
    ### The Lyrics
You make my life so beautiful
As You are You have made me here on earth
    There's nothing greater than this
That's why I love You for evermore
You make my life so beautiful
As You are You have made me here on earth
    Thank you, Jesus
    There's nothing greater than this
That's why I love You for evermore
    I want more of You
I want more of You Jesus
The more I know You the more I want to know You
    Jesus more of You

Today isn't just Father's day but also Eid- Mubarak Celebration (Salah day); this ceremony is attributed to the Islamic religion. One of the many things they do to celebrate the day, apart from going to the house of prayer (mosque) , killing of blooded animals(ram, cow, chicken, just name it) ,sharing of foods among relative and distant relations and dancing is, the engraving of artificial tattoo by their women on their skins for aesthetic sake.
The method used in the video may looks crude and time consuming since is manual however,it's quite frugal and can be easily erased.
Meanwhile, what do you think of the design?
