Local Autonomous Media (or LoAM) groups currently being formulated in the UK are inspired by, and modeled on, the successes of the Mutu Network over in France - where activists developed, from the ground up, a horizontal media collective interconnected across different cities. A clip from documentary filming circa 2004 where I and my Dutch colleague, Lotte, decided to see if we could get an interview with HSBC executives in their Sheffield head office, which we had been filming for exterior shots, leading them to apparently expect our arrival. This led to an amusing series of exchanges with the main person on reception, as Lotte pretended she didn't understand English the entire time so she could keep filming it all.

An interview from some documentary filmmaking I did circa 2004, intending to gain views from people with experiences of homelessness in the Sheffield, South Yorkshire area of the UK, attempting to enable them to express their opinions without influencing the narrative during the interview. They touch on employment, social security, drug abuse, and media coverage (which at the time was either downplaying homelessness statistics, or even claiming people begging were actually wealthy).

A vlog I recorded and shared on the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center that was exploited to launch the War on Terror - here, I looked at what seems to be a grotesque "human exchange rate" on life for American exceptionalism, imperialism, and racism.
