We are going to interview Ewa Blecharczyk. She is a music industry professional in New Orleans and is a special events coordinator and the New Orleans Jazz Museum. We will be talking about all things about the live events space and what it is like going to festivals. Eva will also chat about her experiences in weddings and corporate events and we'll get to hear her tips on working in the music business at the intersection of non-profit and live events.

Here is an interview with Professor John Snyder. He has been such an influential mentor and a leader in the music business. He helped me create my self-designed coordinate major in music business paired with my mathematics major. He worked at Loyola University in New Orleans as Department Chair for the Music Industry program. We will hear about his experience being an attorney and what drove him to law school and then pivoting to the academic side of the music industry. He will share his tips and tricks taking his intro courses at universities.

Here we are with a good friend of mine who I met when I took a film summer class in California as part of a humanities core requirement for my Tulane diploma. I had the pleasure of meeting a great friend Kristen Case. She studied film at Cal Lutheran and minored in dance and now is working as a freelancer in the film business doing many different gigs. She is very creative, driven, motivated, and passionate about the film industry. We will get to learn all about her day-to-day and what it is like working as a freelancer covering those crazy 5 AM shifts and sometimes also getting those good gigs too. Kristen will wrap up giving her points on maintaining a positive attitude. Finally, Kristen will wrap up the episode sharing her advice.

We have Professor Lindsay Adler here on this week's episode. She was my professor when I took two music industry courses over at Loyola University in New Orleans. She works in the marketing space and has had a plethora of music industry experience working in the live events marketing space. She graduated from Tulane and works as an adjunct professor also at Tulane teaching entertainment marketing courses. We will get to her about some of her first gigs including working at the iconic venue Tipitina's. We will also wrap up hearing her wisdom about being a professor and the rewarding aspects of being entrepreneurial.

Here is a New Orleanian with us, Marigny Hemenway. She has a plethora of different paths within the music industry. She is going to school full-time at Berklee College of Music and graduating in May of 2023 with a bachelor's in music business. She is also a singer-songwriter working with a local New Orleans band called Marigny and The Vital Signs. She is the marketing and public relations associate for the New Orleans Jazz Museum. Marigny has worked at The New Orleans Jazz Museum for a couple of years now. We are going to learn about her non-linear day-to-day and what it's like juggling all of these experiences.

Here we will learn from one of the first people that I've met in the radio broadcasting business Kris Daniels. How did I get in touch with her you may ask. It takes a lot of hustle to be in the music industry. I cold called a lot of my favorite radio stations growing up. I called Radio Disney and she answered the phone and I got a tour of the studio followed by a meet-and-greet with the Jonas Brothers. It was fantastic!

Now back to the episode,...we will get to hear more about Kris Daniels background growing up doing radio broadcasting as a teen and then going to college and getting a Masters in Psychology. We will hear about what is the difference between a host, producer, program director, and marketing director under the radio umbrella as they as combine to create an eclectic and vibrant radio station.
