Main idea: 1 Timothy 6:11–16 shows us what it takes to finish well so that we might glorify God with our lives and lay hold of the eternal life he has graciously called us to in Christ.

1. It takes GREAT EFFORT

   a. Run: You don’t finish without running! (6:11)

   b. Fight: You don’t finish without fighting! (6:12)

MAIN IDEA: 1 Timothy 6:3–10 delineates three attributes of false teachers so that you might be aware of and on guard against false teachers, false teaching, and their influences in your Christian life, both personally and corporately.
