Patients with toothaches are often prescribed antibiotics by physicians and dentists to help relieve signs and symptoms and prevent progression to a more serious condition. However, a new guideline from the American Dental Association find that healthy adults experiencing a toothache are best served not by antibiotics but by dental treatment and, if needed, over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen.

Bedtime is the best time to take high blood pressure medication according to the European Society of Cardiology. In a new study people taking all of their blood pressure medication at bedtime had better blood pressure control and had around half the risk of dying from or suffering heart attacks, strokes, heart failure or requiring procedures to treat heart artery blockage.
