The Autism in Black Podcast is hosted by Maria Davis-Pierre, LMHC and focuses on all things autism and the black parent experience. Our goal is to educate, support, and empower black parents to advocate not only for their children but themselves as well.

Today we are joined by Dr. Cindy T. Graham. Dr. Cindy discussed the difference between a medial diagnosis of autism and a school categorization of autism. Dr. Cindy talks about the importance of testing as well as when parents should consider getting their children evaluated. She also talks about insurance and the process it takes to get evaluations covered by your insurance. Lastly Dr. Cindy talks about the evaluation process and what parents should expect during this process.
