Losing a friend is never easy... I met Steve Cardullo at my first open mic in 1989 at The Comic Strip in Philadelphia. Open mic was a place where you could feel uncomfortable or an outsider... It's where I first met Steve. Thank god he was there... If we never met I may have quit yet another thing that I loved do to anxiety...  I clicked with him immediately! We became friends through comedy... and stayed on and off friends for over a 25 year span! And the last year of his life we spoke at lenghth and often... He lived a hard life but was always upbeat about everything! He always was funny know matter how shitty things seemed to be. Even when he was diagnosed with cancer he said to me "Joe who new cigarettes could give you cancer... they really should put a warning on these things... So naturally funny! Just a real dude! Not an ounce of phoney in him. We use to talk comedy on the phone and it never got old. The guy was an encyclopedia on comedy! He knew it all! I'm really going to miss those fucking hilarious talks on the phone! This podcast I talk a lot about him with my neighbor Randy who sits in for another Fixing Joe.
