As a society, we have normalized medicating and diagnosing kids before we solve economic and environmental issues that the youth are subject to. We will rather put our attention on the symptoms instead of dealing with the root. I am not against medication nor therapy. But our youth needs mentors, REC centers with programs that meet their needs, and a better educational and environmental system. Many behavioral issues that the youth face is rooted in the home.
