Slow yourself down,

And breathe. 

PAUSE…

Let your body relax.

Let your mind clear. 

And let yourself just be here. 

Open,

Calm, 

And present.

PAUSE…

Let’s sit in deep gratitude for our friends today,

And illuminate the impact each of them have upon us. 

Imagine yourself in an open field.

The breeze moves the grass,

The sun warms the Earth,

And here you are,

Breathing deeply,

And feeling open.

PAUSE…

Your friend slowly holds your hand,

And stands next to you.

They look you in the eyes, 

And see your soul. 

You look right back,

And see theirs.

PAUSE…

In a flash, you are flooded with gratitude for your friend,

Feeling it grow within you with every memory,

Shared experience,

Tears and laughter you’ve shared. 

LONG PAUSE…

Soon another friend takes your hand,

Looking at you and seeing your soul.

Again, the memories pour in,

And gratitude overflows. 

PAUSE…

Over and over again, 

Your friends take your hand.

Over and over again,

You overflow with gratitude for each one.

LONG PAUSE…

You are deeply blessed,

With each friend who is in your life.
