00:00 Welcome

01:52 Meditate Together
15:42 Mindfulness makes you see the reality clearly and I feel the burden lifting when I am mindful, but is it expected that outside it actually can appear to others quite the contrary, that you're more inattentive, unfocused, detached etc.? At the time I put the most into the practice of being mindful in daily life I often came across as absent for other people but actually I felt "sober" thanks to noting. I can't help but think if I'm not doing the practice correctly or are these kind of reactions expected.
19:05 Given that the values and laws around property rights and sexuality differ depending on your location and time period, are the second and third precepts relative to where you live?
20:24 When you experience physical pain during meditation, should you focus on acknowledging it, staying in the posture, focus rather on breath, or remember that pain is temporary?
22:04 Would you advise doing intensive meditation at home before having the opportunity to attend a formal retreat?
24:06 I have avoidance of happiness. I've heard you say happiness is good, and some practices cause happy feelings. Are those practices good?
27:16 What are the different results one can expect from practicing your technique as opposed to anapanasati?
29:01 It is harder for me to generate metta in social settings, at office for example, than after an individual meditation session.
29:56 In meditation, I used to silently say compassion and loving kindness. Now, I only say rising and falling and keep the mind at the foot. Will these also cultivate compassion and loving kindness?
32:20 I have observed "wanting" to be a thought that arises, in the sense of imagination. Am I seeing it clearly?
33:10 I'm noting each sensation, but often I get distracted. I've been told to note "thinking" when I find this happening, but I don't catch it very fast. Will this become easier with practice?
34:14 At times I become focused enough and only the breath remains. I keep noting the rising and falling and I eventually I lose focus and thoughts come back. Any advice on how to progress past that point?
36:31 I’m starting to notice that things are just happening and I have no control but I have this habit of trying to believe I can, which causes frustration. Do I just need to see it over and over before ...
37:53 Sometimes I’m in certain mind states and notice that my mind is drifting a lot. Do I just note that is it possible to note in these states? Is the suffering I’m feeling basically the result of attaching to things? I continually notice this hunger in the mind but when I get the object it doesn’t satisfy.
40:27 Could you please make the case for why only meditation matters please? I've a lot of time and feel I'm close to make the full commitment to that, as I contemplate the inevitability of death.
42:34 How does one deal with rejection in friendships or platonic relationships? Putting oneself in a vulnerable position just to be rejected hurts and aggravates the ego big time.
45:42 I’ve started to notice the proliferation of desires in daily life and that pursuing them is ultimately unsatisfying. But I also notice an absence of joy. Is this to be noted as sadness or "dislike?"
47:23 You mentioned to me don’t focus so much on the pleasure. Focus on the practice and being mindful in pleasure. Why is that?
49:56 How much can an intensive meditation course help you? And what ways do you say it does this?
53:42 How do you know the difference between cessation and microsleep?
54:41 How can I stop caring about what other people think of me? A couple of people I encounter on a daily basis, judge me and make fun of me because I’m a Buddhist and celibate and they view me as a loser.
57:10 Do you have any advice on how to use meditation to absorb teachings more deeply from the Buddha's parables? I love reading these stories and teachings, but want to ingrain them deeper than just reading.
59:28 Sometimes when I have a lot of sexual desire my mindfulness is not deep, and sometimes after I have had sexual satisfaction I have had my deepest meditations. Are you sure celibacy is the way to go?
1:03:48 Should our meditation practice be more directed towards staying concentrated on the present regardless of what arises, or should it more to understand the mental and physical phenomena that arise?
1:05:38 What pitfalls are there to the practice for those who are returning to your mantra meditation after a couple of years?
1:07:06 When imagining something, should we note "thinking" or "seeing"? Are a thought and the perception of it two different things?
1:07:31 In meditation, do you need to try and maximize your degree of focus on the object, and try to be with the object as long as possible?
1:08:43 Sadhu...
