[Meditation] When control feels safer than freedom: A guided practice

Listen Later

This guided meditation is the companion practice to our previous episode on why the urge to control food resurfaces even when you understand your patterns.

For many women, control has been a stabiliser. It has created containment, predictability and a sense of safety. So when you begin softening food rules, a protective part may tighten it’s grip.

In this meditation, you’ll gently meet the part who seeks control with presence rather than force. Through grounding, heart centred awareness and parts informed reflection, you’ll help your system experience containment without tension, safety without bracing.

Inside this meditation, you’ll:

  • Settle your nervous system
  • Connect with your heart space and Self energy
  • Build relationship with the part that wants control
  • Experience containment without tension
  • Softening control through safety.

This practice is about offering your system something stronger than control - steady presence. When the part who seeks control feels supported, food no longer needs to be managed so rigidly.
