Happy Pride Month! At-Large Council Member Nick Komives joins Mayor Wade to discuss his small-town upbringing and how his early recognition of his identity as a gay person inherently led him to look more deeply at social structures.

Inspired by politicians like Harvey Milk, Council Member Komives began working on community oriented campaigns like Save a Library and worked his way to the Ohio Supreme Court fighting for equality and judge impartiality.

On Toledo's City Council, Nick has pushed forward Regional Water Commission which has led him to a deep investment in environmental and sustainability initiatives in Toledo like the 1% for the Environment Fund.
