Why is it so hard to make a decision we know is right when it might disappoint someone else? In this episode of Meet Me at the Mic, I'm sharing a lesson I've been learning in real time: there is a difference between disappointing someone and doing something wrong. We talk about people-pleasing, setting healthy boundaries, seeking wise counsel without surrendering ownership of our decisions, and learning to trust the peace God gives us, even when other people don't understand.
If you've ever struggled with guilt, worried too much about what others would think, or found yourself choosing everyone else's comfort over your own well-being, I hope this conversation reminds you that you can lead with kindness, make decisions with integrity, and still choose the path that is right for you. Sometimes your greatest act of courage is trusting God's direction, even when your peace makes other people uncomfortable.
For years, I've been the helper. The planner. The leader. The one everyone else leans on.
But what happens when you're the one who needs support?
We're talking about vulnerability, community, faith, and the unexpected beauty of allowing people to show up for you. I'm sharing the lessons I'm learning about asking for help, receiving it without guilt, and discovering that strength isn't about carrying every burden alone.
If you've ever felt like you had to have it all together, this conversation is for you.
Because sometimes the strongest thing we can do... is let someone else carry us for a while.
Heartbreak changes you. But it does not have to define you.
We talk about pain, purpose, identity, resilience, and the reality that so many people are carrying battles nobody fully sees.
This episode is for the woman who feels exhausted from rebuilding… the woman trying to rediscover herself after heartbreak… and the woman learning that God can still create purpose from pain.
In this episode of Meet Me at the Mic, I’m talking about the emotional exhaustion of trying to be understood... the pressure to be perceived as “good,” agreeable, emotionally regulated, and liked all the time. Through a few real-life moments from Mother’s Day weekend, I open up about people pleasing, overexplaining, fear of being misunderstood, and the healing that comes from learning to trust yourself without constantly needing everyone else to validate or fully understand you. If you’ve ever replayed conversations in your head or apologized for simply existing, this episode is for you.
I thought I had more control over myself than I actually did... until my environment changed. In this episode, I’m sharing a real-time realization about feeling off, losing my rhythm, and what it actually takes to get it back. If you’ve been feeling out of sync in a new season of life, this might be the perspective shift you didn’t know you needed.
This episode is personal.
I’m sharing a moment in my life where I felt completely vulnerable and how it became the turning point that pushed me to take my power back. What started as something I “always said I’d do” turned into a deeper lesson about fear, preparedness, and following through… even when it’s hard, inconvenient, or no longer urgent.
This episode is becoming someone who does the hard things, trusts herself, and finishes what she starts.
If you’ve been putting something off… this one’s for you.
There was a time in my life when everything felt like it was falling apart, and no one was coming to fix it.
In this episode, I open up about that season and how it built the strength, resilience, and self-trust I rely on today. We’re also talking about what it looks like to outgrow the noise, stop chasing hype, and start choosing purpose.
Because every hard season teaches you something… and you don’t come out the same.
Have you ever felt like something was meant for you… and then it didn’t work out?
In this episode, I share a personal story about loss, disappointment, and learning to trust God even when things don’t make sense. Through real-life experiences and reflection, I unpack how what feels like rejection can actually be protection, and how the things we don’t receive may be making room for something greater.
If you’re in a season of questioning, waiting, or trying to understand “why,” this is your reminder that what is truly meant for you will never pass you by.
Let's dive into the difference between standards and expectations...and how our expectations of others can quietly lead to frustration, disappointment, and disconnection.
From parenting to leadership to shifting relationships, this is a real and honest conversation about balance, grace, and learning to let go of control while still honoring your values.
If you’ve been feeling stretched, out of alignment, or navigating changing relationships… this one is for you! Thank you for listening.
In this episode, I’m sharing a very real and honest look at a season I’ve been navigating lately — where my mind is full of ideas, but my energy just isn’t matching it. We talk about what burnout can actually look like, especially when it doesn’t show up as laziness, but as quiet emotional exhaustion from carrying a lot for a long time. If you’ve ever felt like you’re still showing up while feeling completely depleted underneath it all, this conversation is for you.
