Isaiah 53, the passage that predicts Jesus’ suffering, death, and resurrection, begins with a promise. When we are called to something, God often gives us a promise, which many times, is followed by an attack of the enemy. God is always faithful to rescue, and then gives us a story to share with others who also suffer.
