Esports describes the world of competitive, organized video gaming. Competitors from different leagues or teams face off in the same games that are popular with at-home gamers (think: Fortnite, League of Legends, and Madden NFL, to name a few). The streaming service Twitch allow viewers to watch as their favorite gamers play in real time. Students can gain college scholarships in esports in much the same fashion as a regular athlete. For more info or to get involved, students can contact Mr. Marth at [email protected] or JR Renna at [email protected].
