With local elections on the horizon, Tuesday host Carousel Bayrd begins her coverage of the candidates running for office. Today, she is joined in the studio by the three candidates for seat 6 on the Madison school board: Karen Ball, Maia Pearson, and Christina Gomez Schmidt.

Over the course of the hour, the candidates introduce themselves and explain why they’ve chosen to run for public office and what they hope to achieve on the school board. They also answer a series of round-robin questions about supporting students and teachers, boosting morale in the wake of Act 10, feeling safe in school, racism, vouchers and charter schools, and the building referendum.
