The WOC Extender Advisory Committee oversees the clinical aspects associated with the WTA and OCA Programs. Sara shares with us her experience on the committee, the history of the WTA and OCA committees, including how they merged to become the WOC Extender Advisory Committee, and gives an insight into both the WTA and OCA Programs.
The Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Program and the Ostomy Care Associate (OCA) Program are geared toward non-specialty, licensed wound care and ostomy care providers and medics/corpsmen. These programs are designed to improve and strengthen wound and ostomy care expertise among healthcare providers to improve patient care, with flexible education applicable to all healthcare settings.
