Starve Marve aka King Negus is a Miami local making waves in the conscious Hip Hop and Rap scene. His music stems from what he calls a death dream or a desire to accomplish goals before his death. Inspired by the Y2K theory and The Haab or Maya Calendar Starve Marve set out to accomplish his musical expression as his death dream.

The substance in his music is birthed from thoughts juxtaposing the American Dream with the struggle of obtaining it, through lyrical poetry about racial, cultural and status differences.

I spoke to him in this audio interview from his home studio about Miami sound, his creative process and what the Miami artist community can do in efforts to increase collaboration in the alternative hip hop music scene.

Cynthia Fleischmann is an artist who specializes in body paintography, painting naked bodies into their environment and photographing them for exhibition.

Her journey as an amputee after losing her right leg in an accident last year has been defined by her positive state of mind and humorous approach.

Cynthia is establishing her femininity, sex, and independence her way and has overcome this accident by living in purpose with a greater sense of awareness and life.
