Dr.Davis has been in the medical industry for 40 years! Growing up under relatives, including his father, a doctor. Davis inherited an extreme interest in medicine. Helping others was a passion of his. Starting with the swim meet in school, with their minor scratches and cuts to being a head physician on cruise ships for 10 years. Davis gave his heart and soul to his career. So it was a no-brainer when the scheduler asked him if he'd like to spend a month on a ship assisting, officers, crew members and passengers in the Caribbean.
Dr.Davis's experiences in medicine changed quite quickly being on cruise ships. Dealing with unseen situations lead him to write books about them. Not the kind of books you think a doctor would write about. Surprisingly, Davis's books are in the Murder Mystery genre, all fourteen of them! He shares true stories of things happening on the ships, such as trafficking, murders, and robberies. "Every day was a new story," Davis says, as he shares books he wrote, that tell tales of rash outbreaks on the ship. An on-shore museum robbery of a rare ruby that was in connection with a cruise passenger. Stories of x-rays identifying drugs found internally smuggled in from a woman travelling.
Davis's career became so much more than helping people to now, solve mysteries of the unknown. Davis always had problem-solving skills growing up and throughout his career in medicine. Finding out the "why" and how to fix it was what motivated Dr. Davis to find a resolution. "Being a doctor and how much the industry and tools have changed over the years has defiantly made things easier, but there is still a shortage of manpower, we need more doctors and nurses"! Explains Dr. Davis as he encourages people to join the profession. Helping other people, even if it's small, is such a fulfilling career.
Dr. Davis leaves us with this question. "What are you going to do to help others?".
