Hey everyone! Investigating the Realm of Finance episode 7 is out now, and I still can't believe this is happening, but Megha Sharma is the guest for this episode! She is the co-founder and head of technology at Mydoh and the director of engineering at RBC ventures. Megha has been with Mydoh for the last three years, and since then, her role has changed from co-founding the company to leading a rockstar team of engineers and technical leads. She is super passionate about helping and promoting women in STEM, especially in leadership positions to help break those barriers and build a more equitable and inclusive world. She has a bachelor of computer engineering from Ryerson University, and she received the Global Association of Women in Payments Rising Star Award for 2021
Join me in this episode as we get a glimpse of Megha's fascinating journey! You don't want to miss this one, from having her high school teacher telling her computer engineering is a 'boys' program to co-founding an innovative money management app and Smart Card to help raise a new generation of money-smart kids! She shared insightful advice for all the women aspiring to be in tech and outside of that too! And, of course, we delved a little deep into Mydoh, from how the idea came to be to its various innovative functionalities that help kids make their own earning and spending decisions — learning values that help build a strong foundation for the future. I love the app, and I believe it is a 'household essential' because of the crucial personal finance learning it can provide to kids and the open communication about money between them and their parents.
