Hello everyone! A new podcast episode is out (with an INCREDIBLE guest)! Today as we celebrate International Women's Day, I have Kanupria Seth as my guest. She worked in physics and is now in the banking industry, both of which, unfortunately, are male-dominated industries. It's truly an honour to have her on the podcast. She shared many valuable insights and recommended me an excellent platform for women students to enrol in mentorship programs and generally for networking (link will be on the episode's description!). In this episode, I have an insightful discussion with Kanupria Seth about education, work and CIBC capital markets. We cover a wide variety of topics, including how to know if you should do a master's, tips in optimizing your involvement outside of your academics throughout the university, finding passion and curiosity amid student struggles, transitioning to industry from academia, and so much more! If you aren't necessarily studying finance but are interested in it, Kanupria Seth was on that same journey! She shares her journey of igniting her curiosity in finance and the steps she took, which helped land her a job in CIBC capital markets!
