Prim Siripipat speaks with multi-sport athlete Meghan O'Leary about her journey to becoming a 2-time Olympic rower after picking up the sport in her mid-20s while working at ESPN. O'Leary, who played both volleyball and softball at the University of Virginia, discusses how she is preparing for retirement after being an athlete for essentially her entire life. As O'Leary explains, even when an athlete recognizes the "retirement train" is coming, nothing can ever prepare one for the physical, emotional, and logistical challenges in transitioning away from sport.
