Melanie Kawa is a legendary female athlete from the code of Rugby Unlon. At 35yrs old Mel is still playing at a semi-professional level having represented, QLD Rugby in both 7s and XVs, the state Victoria also, in 7s and XVs, she’s has played professionally over in France, and so honourably she has represented her home country of Papua New Guinea on the International stage for Sevens.

Mel has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to women in sport and her passion and pride to have higher representation of Women where decisions are being made is admirable. Give this woman a seat.
