As we launch into a New Year, let's linger for a moment in Luke 2 where the shepherds who were the first to receive the news of the Savior's birth also set a great example of faith and obedience that we can apply to the year ahead.

There are a lot of religions and belief systems in the world, but there is only one Gospel. There are a lot of religious teachers and leaders. But, there is only one Savior who is Lord over all. He is our Deliverer!

The greatest gift of all came from God. And, in a similar way that we wrap our gifts to others, He also wrapped His gift to us.

This is what God wants for you! It is an overflowing of the heart. We often worry about what we will have to give up, but Paul talks in terms of what God wants us to gain. As we receive God’s grace, it produces a tremendous gratitude in our hearts...

God's grace has already been poured out on us. Our giving comes we receive His grace which produces incredible gratitude that overflows into joyful generosity.

This is the time of year we focus on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the holidays. But, the turkey is not only thing that is overstuffed in our lives...how do we deal with all this "stuff" and make sure we have the right stuff!

We live in a dark and decaying world. God has called us to make an impact on it by being salt and light.

It’s not what you do occasionally. It’s what you do consistently over time that makes a difference!
