"There are a lot of my favorites of 2018 in there as well as a fair bit of classic records that I just can’t seem to get out of the bag. As usual I’m striving to pick records from the more melodic side of techno with the odd housey bits thrown in. I basically love all the records in the mix obviously, however if I had to pick a few records it would be the ASOK track, Bambounou, the incredible Barker track, Kenny’s Remix for Freq, which I recently re-discovered, that amazingly simple acid tune by Donato Dozzy and my favorite soul house record to date, Peven Everett’s 'How Bad I Want You'. I am honoured to be able to contribute a mix to this series especially as I have a long history playing in Melbourne, dating back to 2002 if I’m not mistaken. The great vibes of this city have certainly been in the back of my head when putting this mix together."

"This mix is basically what I play these days – I actually recorded it while in a session preparing for a gig in Brussels. It contains forthcoming Kalahari Oyster Cult bits from Melbournian (yes, I had to look it up) Escape Artist and Liluzu – but also bits from friends like Ex-Terrestrial, Central & Pariah and other older records that I heavily play and love."

For the final Skylab session of the year @myles-mac pieces together some mind massaging 90s psybient, trip hop and forest floor acid in the first hour then hands it to @loseitlucid resident and @overpast co-overlord @sebmarcu for a slow rave euphoria trip-out full of hypnotic percussions and brain burning acid trance. Music for Zone 3 and beyond!

"Oh, I wanted it to be a bit of everything that I enjoy playing. I made some music loops and field recordings for it as well to make it more “alive”, collected all the tracks that I’ve enjoyed listening to the last weeks or so plus some older favorites and went from there. Usually I do a mix like this; I just plan the first two tracks plus the last track and between it I try to keep it spontaneous. Only works on a good day though, but this was one of those days when everything was right and I didn’t even have to think, the music got me in a really confident and relaxed mood! Hopefully it will do the same to the listeners.

I love every track, but the last track has been in my headphones to and from studio since January and finally I could put it in a mix! The bass is giving me goosebumps. I had it as my final track last time I played at Berghain but chickened out last second and finished with something else. Instant regret :( The track is Dub Phizix - [Right I know I'm gonna get shedded this weekend so let me eat some] Spinach."

"I tried to do a mix which could represent my music style development in the last months. One of the special records in there (that I never played actually) is Susana Estrada, repressed by Disco Segreta (Original is from 1980, just on tape). This was the “soundtrack” of a sexy live show. I find it very futuristic for the time. "

I’m really enjoying playing with tempo at the moment and am hunting down as much footwork as I can that fits in with the other things I play.
