After an exceptionally long hiatus, I'm back with a vengeance with 9 chapters of everyone's favorite Fire Emblem game released on the Super Famicom in the year 1999. This first episode covers the "Fort Dundrum" arc, consisting of chapters 10, 11, and 11x. Join me as we're introduced to some of the most important characters in this story like Olwen, Reinhardt, and of course the best villain in all of fiction, Kempf! Join me as I continue my journey through the greatest game every created by human hands. This week we're tackling chapters 7, 8, 8x, and 9. Leif continues his escape from Manster into Thracian territory. Daddy Dagdar has found himself in a decidedly dangerous dilemma. Don't dawdle, or he'll drop dead! Finally, Leif learns of a group comprised of the remnants of Leonster nobility and decides to join forces with them. Along the way, he has to come to grips with an inconvenient truth: maybe his dad wasn't all he was cracked up to be.

Join me as we discuss what are truly some of the worst maps that Fire Emblem has to offer. The Manster arc of Thracia is known for its unique challenge that throws Leif in jail and asks him to escape with barely any of his previous resources. While these chapters mark a high point in the game's narrative, the gameplay aspect leaves a lot to be desired, and today I'm going to explain why I feel that way.
