In quest'ora ripercorriamo la sua brillante carriera: dall'iconica apertura afro-funk di "Bacalao Con Pan" con gli Irakere e la complessa ed elegante "Zanaith", al lirismo sublime di "Song For Maura" e "Samba for Carmen". Viaggiamo poi attraverso il virtuosismo di "Choro para Paquito", la toccante "Mariel", l'irresistibile swing di "Mambo Influenciado" e l'energia di "Guataca City". Welcome to a brand new edition of Original Tribute, celebrating the explosive virtuosity, infectious joy, and Latin Jazz heritage of double Grammy icon Paquito D'Rivera.

Master of both the alto saxophone and clarinet, Paquito D'Rivera bridged the gap between Bebop, Afro-Cuban rhythm, Brazilian Choro, and classical elegance. This episode highlights his most celebrated recordings: opening with the legendary Afro-funk groove "Bacalao Con Pan" alongside Irakere, into the intricate arrangement of "Zanaith", followed by the lyrical beauty of "Song For Maura" and "Samba for Carmen".
