Held within the passing of a partner she was preparing to marry and then later with the birth of her daughter, Ashira tells her story on how grief, motherhood and all in between opened a portal to her highest self, giving her the grit needed to follow all of her dreams-in music, as a therapist and practitioner of healing modalities.

Ashira Sōl is a singer, songwriter, and producer who is dedicated to being of service to humanity through music, motherhood, mental health, and subconscious healing modalities. With a soulful voice and heart centered lyrics that dance across vibrant landscapes, she draws listeners in and invites them to move with her. Her music reflects her journey with grief, love, and spiritual awakening and is inspired by a variety of musical genres, including pop, downtempo, deep house, and electronica.

She has performed at Lightning in a Bottle, Envision Festival, W1SE Castle, and has sung the national anthem at a San Francisco Giants Game. Her collaborators include DJ Taz Rashid, Momentology, Heather Christie, DTO, Entheo, and Brandyn Burnette. She is also the daughter of R&B artist O’Bryan Burnette who is known for singing the Soul Train theme song.

She is currently based in Long Beach, California.

Her hope is to empower others to feel liberated enough to dance to  their own drum & create a more relaxed, trusting, heart centered, consious  authentic life.

"My name is Kathryn Solie. Many people know me for my work as a "poisonous" plant educator. I feel that at this time my mission is to bring about a greater cultural understanding of certain aspects of plant consciousness, and ultimately help generate a community of unique practitioners in dialogue with one another, learning from and supporting each other, both in commonality and contrast.

I believe that together we can recover the most ancient human lineage - our relationship to the wisdom of the plant kingdom.

I studied painting at Naropa University, a Buddhist-inspired school in Boulder Colorado, did a sacred plant medicine apprenticeship with the Gaia School of Healing in Putney, Vermont, and completed a training in Hakomi, a type of mindfulness based body-centered psychotherapy. Although all of these trainings influence the way I work, they ultimately pale in comparison to what I’ve learned from the plants themselves."
