Memoir of a Defeatist

I talk about my absence from making the podcast and the new direction I’m going to try taking it.

I was able to get all of my siblings together to join me for one special game night with my friend Fellix and my boyfriend Dave, who was visiting from out of town. We're playing Dixit, a game where you try to make your friends guess the card you're describing while they try to steal your points away from you! You can learn more about Dixit here: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/39856/dixit

Many thanks to my friends who most have appeared in past episodes:

Lauren (Who Is America Group reactions)

David (several Game Nights and WIA Group reactions)

Camille (Pilot for Windy Wednesday)

Dave, who flew here from California to be here (Pilot for WW)

John (Host of "Not Your Real Dads" on Spotify and Google Podcasts)

Fellix (Blue Collar Berkshire)

and Corynn, who's first time on the podcast is today!

My friends and I watch a preview of Showtime’s Who Is America by Sacha Baron Cohen. https://youtu.be/QkXeMoBPSDk

In this hour long episode, I ask my good friend @DemoWeasel about his experience moving from the west sode to the east side of the US, and what challenges he faced moving there, such as motives, income, and social life. Why move?

Where I am, what I’m doing, what I want to do, and where it may take us.

In this episode, Casey Neistat's brother pitches an idea to me about an inventive new way of making milk, in a dream. I also talk about why the last few episodes were riddled with plosives, and we end with some Jon Hopkins.

No news this week as I try to figure out how to best present the news, but I am presenting you with an example of what to expect from the trivia portion of the episodes. I am joined by Camille, David, @AylorSot, and @modernsqueeze.

In this episode, I briefly talk about furries and the dynamics of a community that has saved and sheltered me. What makes us strong? Where do we falter? How does it fit into a world that once shunned it, but is coming around to the idea of what it cultivates and represents?

Sending love to all my friends, especially these people:

Still working on getting proper audio for Game Nights. Also used Filmstro to score the rule sequence. Would have used it for the game play if it was particularly great but there's background sounds going on and I'm way behind posting this episode and others!

Largest game of Spyfall I've ever had; eleven people in one room, and two spies instead of one! Playing with two spies is confusing, we couldn't figure out how to properly do accusations. Here are the names of the people I can remember off the top of my head involved.

Episode 1 of The Snake: I say so long to my old room and I get ready to move into my new home with the help of my brother (who this all would not have been possible without).
