In this episode, Omowunmi shares what it felt like to almost encounter Christ on campus in law school. She was invited to lead within a campus ministry but fear of being branded a hypocrite kept her from serving. After graduation, she finally had her conversion to a truly repentant life while in the midst of a godless romantic relationship. This is the last episode on Chapter 1. In this episode, Omowunmi explores her early years as a Nigerian in America. From the cultural norm that stipulates that a parent would beat you senseless before they allowed you to disgrace them - to her high school and college years of bumping heads with American classmates who penned her as an “African booty scratcher” - to her first year of college away from her parents supervision. She deemed her freshman year an academic triumph and a spiritual disaster. Follow us on Instagram @MemoirsNICpod
