Today is Memorial Day, May 26, 2025

On this Memorial Day, I’m remembering not only the brave service members who died in battle, but also those lost to training accidents and friendly fire. The process of preparing for service is serious and dangerous—despite every effort to prevent it, accidents still happen. Their sacrifices matter too.
